Skip it unless you're a devoted classic Hollywood fan—this 1944 melodrama leans heavy on the vanity-as-comeuppance morality tale, and the premise (woman punished for rejecting her husband's love) feels dated and preachy by today's standards. If you want vintage romance with substance, there are better options.

Plot

A beautiful but vain woman who rejects the love of her older husband must face the loss of her youth and beauty.
