Monster Island has an intriguing premise—enemies forced to survive together against a mysterious threat—but the middling scores tell you everything you need to know: it doesn't quite land the execution. Skip it tonight unless you're specifically hunting for B-movie creature features; there are better creature-feature thrillers out there demanding your time.
