Skip it. 'Medicine Man' is a Sean Connery vehicle from 1992 that leans hard on fish-out-of-water romance and dated gender dynamics—the whole 'woman scientist has to prove herself' angle feels creaky even for its time. The adventure-drama-romance blend might have worked with better chemistry or a sharper script, but this one's better left in the jungle.

Plot

An eccentric scientist in the Amazon jungle rejects his research assistant for being a woman, but as bulldozers threaten their work on a potential cancer cure, they learn to collaborate and begin to fall in love.
