With middling scores across the board (56% RT, 5.7 IMDb), 'May in the Summer' doesn't make a compelling case for your evening. The premise of family drama mixed with comedy has potential, but critics and audiences both found it underwhelming. Unless you're a devoted fan of ensemble dramedy or have a specific connection to the story, skip this one.
