This 2005 Tommy Lee Jones comedy-action hybrid has the bones of a fun premise but lands with all the charm of a creaky formula film that mistakes fish-out-of-water scenarios for actual humor. Unless you're specifically hunting for harmless, forgettable early-2000s comfort viewing, your night has better options.

Plot

Texas Ranger Roland Sharp is assigned to protect the only witnesses to the murder of a key figure in the prosecution of a drug kingpin -- a group of University of Texas cheerleaders. Sharp must now go undercover as an assistant cheerleading coach and move in with the young women.
