Skip it. This 2006 Lonely Hearts adaptation is a forgettable true-crime slog that wastes its intriguing premise—a dating-service serial killer duo—on a plodding, emotionally hollow execution. Even with John Travolta and James Francen in the leads, the film never justifies why you should care about either the killers or the detectives hunting them.

Plot

In the late 1940s, a murderous couple known as the 'The Lonely Hearts Killers' kills close to a dozen people. Two detectives try to nab the duo who find their targets via the personals in the paper.
