Skip it unless you're a hardcore horror completist—Lights Out is a forgettable jump-scare factory that wastes a genuinely creepy premise about a mother-haunting supernatural entity. The film relies too heavily on cheap scares and undercooked mythology instead of building real tension or developing its characters beyond cardboard cutouts.

Plot

Rebecca must unlock the terror behind her little brother's experiences that once tested her sanity, bringing her face to face with a supernatural spirit attached to their mother.
