Skip it. 'La máscara' has all the hallmarks of a melodramatic boarding school drama with a deeply uncomfortable premise—an inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher that the plot seems to romanticize rather than critique. Without critical scores to vouch for its execution, there's no reason to gamble two hours on what sounds like exploitative storytelling dressed up as emotional depth.

Plot

Diana's parents have separated. Diana moves to a boarding school, by order of her parents, to complete her education. There she will meet her gym teacher, with whom she will have a close friendship. After an accident, this friendship will become something more.
