Skip it. 'Kate' is a serviceable but forgettable action thriller that hits all the expected beats without breaking new ground—the emotional core of a hardened killer bonding with a kid feels undercooked, and the 24-hour revenge plot is standard fare. Unless you're desperate for some mindless action tonight, you've seen this story done better elsewhere.

Plot
