Jet Lag in Summer
2025 · 1h 32m · Drama
Skip it. Without any critical validation and a plot that feels like a half-baked indie relationship drama—complete with the cliché pandemic timing and a boyfriend named Pingu—there's not enough here to justify two hours of your night. The separation-during-hardship angle is well-trodden territory, and nothing in the synopsis suggests this film brings fresh insight or emotional power to warrant taking the chance.
Plot
After having a hard time finding a job in New York, Jiaqi decides to go back to China during the pandemic while her boyfriend Pingu insists to stay for his ambitious thesis film production. However, a sudden announcement interrupts Jiaqi’s plan. During their separation, both of them have a chance to experience a special period of their lives.
