Skip it. This is the fourth Insidious film, and the franchise has been running on fumes since the second installment—retreading the same haunted-house jump scares without adding anything fresh. Even if you're a die-hard fan of the series, this personal-backstory angle for Elise can't overcome the formula fatigue.

Plot

Parapsychologist Elise Rainier and her team travel to Five Keys, NM, to investigate a man’s claim of a haunting. Terror soon strikes when Rainier realizes that the house he lives in was her family’s old home.
