Skip it tonight unless you've got young kids who need entertaining. Inkheart has the bones of a decent family adventure with a charming premise about books and magic, but it lands somewhere between forgettable and mediocre—solid enough for a rainy afternoon with the family, but not worth your evening when there are better fantasy adventures out there.
