Skip this one unless you're a hardcore Jacques Tourneur devotee or voodoo cinema completist. Despite its legendary status and atmospheric Caribbean setting, the glacial pacing and dated melodrama make it a tough sell for a casual movie night—you'll be fighting the urge to nap before the nurse even considers that first voodoo spell.

Plot

A nurse in the Caribbean turns to voodoo in hopes of curing her patient, a mindless woman whose husband she's fallen in love with.
