Skip it tonight unless you're in the mood for deliberately obscure, visually striking sci-fi dread—Ben Wheatley's 'High-Rise' is a challenging adaptation of J.G. Ballard's novel that prioritizes atmosphere over narrative clarity, and it's more likely to frustrate than satisfy on a casual viewing.

Life for the residents of a tower block begins to run out of control.
