Skip it. 'Here Comes the Boom' is a painfully formulaic Kevin James vehicle that mistakes silly premise hijinks for actual comedy—the whole 'high school teacher fights in MMA' angle should be fun but plays out like a soulless studio mandate instead. Life's too short for this kind of aggressively mediocre crowd-pleaser.
