✗ SKIP — Not worth it
Gods and Generals
2003 · 3h 39m · Drama, History, War
Skip it. This 219-minute slog from director Ronald F. Maxwell is a bloated, self-serious Civil War epic that treats Stonewall Jackson with reverent hagiography rather than critical depth—and most viewers found it tediously paced and narratively unfocused. Unless you're a hardcore Civil War history buff with an afternoon to burn, your time is better spent elsewhere.
