IMDb 6.7 Metacritic 63 RT 88%

Watch this tonight if you're hungry for a sci-fi thriller that flips the script on isolation paranoia—the premise of a sheltered kid discovering her reality is a lie has real teeth, and the Abnormals twist promises genuine intrigue. Fair warning: it's a low-budget indie that won't blow your mind visually, but if you value clever concept work over polish, you'll find something worthwhile here.

Plot

Kept locked inside the house by her father, 7-year-old Chloe lives in fear and fascination of the outside world, where Abnormals create a constant threat—or so she believes. When a mysterious stranger offers her a glimpse of what's really happening outside, Chloe soon finds that while the truth isn't so simple, the danger is very real.

Director: Adam Stein

Cast: Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Grace Park, Amanda Crew, Lexy Kolker
