Face/Off is peak '90s action cinema with a bonkers premise that actually works—two heavyweight leads (Cage and Travolta) chewing scenery while swapped in each other's faces is the kind of gleefully absurd spectacle you need tonight. John Woo directs the hell out of this, delivering stylish set pieces and genuine stakes that make the ridiculous premise sing.

Plot

In order to foil a terrorist plot, an FBI agent undergoes facial transplant surgery and assumes the identity of a criminal mastermind. The plan turns sour when the criminal wakes up prematurely and seeks revenge.
