This is a wildly original premise—Cold War sci-fi satire with genuine teeth—but 'Excursion' is obscure enough that it's either a hidden gem or a forgotten flop, and without scores there's real risk you're spending two hours on a misfire. Skip it unless you're a devoted arthouse sci-fi completist.

Plot

In the late eighties, the USSR government enlists Tomas, a devoted member of the Communist Party, to travel back in time to future London and document how Socialism has thrived.
