This 2013 Blue Sky Studios film is a forgettable fantasy-adventure that hits every generic beat without originality—the fish-out-of-water teen hero, the quirky sidekick squad, the paint-by-numbers good-vs-evil stakes. There are better animated adventures out there that won't put you to sleep.

Plot

A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between the forces of good and the forces of evil is taking place. She bands together with a rag-tag group characters in order to save their world—and ours.
