Skip this one unless you're a hardcore Italian exploitation cinema completist — 'Cannibal Ferox' is a notorious 1981 shock-fest that trades genuine thrills for gratuitous gore and animal cruelty that hasn't aged well. The premise has potential, but the execution is pure cynical provocation dressed up as adventure horror.

Plot

Three friends out to disprove cannibalism meet two men on the run who tortured and enslaved a cannibal tribe to find emeralds, and now the tribe is out for revenge.
