Skip it. Borderlands is a video game adaptation that arrived DOA with a confused identity—it can't decide if it's a genuine action-comedy or a self-aware parody, and ends up nailing neither. Even with a solid cast (Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black), the script is a lifeless slog through tired jokes and a paint-by-numbers plot that wastes its potential at every turn.

Plot

Returning to her home planet, an infamous bounty hunter forms an unexpected alliance with a team of unlikely heroes. Together, they battle monsters and dangerous bandits to protect a young girl who holds the key to unimaginable power.
