Skip it. This 1998 sequel trades the original's lightning-in-a-bottle magic for a bloated, forgettable slog that nobody asked for—even die-hard Blues Brothers fans treat it like the third wheel at a reunion. Without the late John Belushi and with diminishing returns on tired jokes, you're better off rewatching the 1980 classic instead.

Plot

Finally released from prison, Elwood Blues is once again enlisted by Sister Mary Stigmata in her latest crusade to raise funds for a children's hospital. Hitting the road to re-unite the band and win the big prize at the New Orleans Battle of the Bands, Elwood is pursued cross-country by the cops.
