Skip it. 'Barurot 2' tackles serious social issues with a well-worn redemption narrative, but without critical validation or a recognized cast to anchor it, there's little reason to invest two hours in what sounds like a by-the-numbers Filipino drama about survival and romance. Watch the first one if you're invested, but this sequel doesn't give you a compelling reason to start here.
