Skip it. 'Backtrace' has all the hallmarks of direct-to-streaming mediocrity—a generic heist-thriller plot with an experimental drug angle that sounds like it's compensating for lack of originality. Without critical support or notable performances to justify the watch, your time is better spent elsewhere.
