Skip it—this 2004 Feng Xiaogang film is a decent crime drama with some charm, but it's a period piece that hasn't aged particularly well and lacks the spark to justify your time tonight. Unless you're specifically hunting for Chinese cinema from the mid-2000s, there are fresher heist-with-heart stories out there.

Plot

A con-team couple head west after taking a city businessman for his BMW. But an encounter with a naive young carpenter traveling home with his life savings challenges their fate as thieves.
