Skip it. This 2013 Carl Rinsch film squanders a killer premise—outcast samurai seeking vengeance—by drowning the story in bloated CGI spectacle and wooden dialogue that betrays the disciplined honor code it's supposedly about. Even Keanu Reeves' presence can't save this from feeling like a forgettable fantasy misfire rather than the taut revenge saga it should've been.

Plot

Kai—an outcast—joins Oishi, the leader of 47 outcast samurai. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honour to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors.
